A modern, inclusive structure designed for every young player!
RC United is introducing an updated grassroots model that reflects our commitment to giving every child the right environment to learn, grow, and enjoy the game. These changes support the club’s belief that all players are important and that development is strongest when kids train “alongside others of similar skill levels and goals,” helping them feel confident, supported, and challenged at the right pace.
To support different motivations and learning styles, RC United is offering two development pathways at the grassroots level. Both streams are equally valued, equally supported, and equally accessible.
Performance Stream
A pathway for players who want more challenge, more training, and higher-level competition.
The club describes this stream as “a competitive, high-standards program for committed players… designed for athletes aiming to accelerate their development in a focused, demanding environment.”
Key elements include:
Community Stream
A welcoming, flexible option for players who enjoy soccer in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment.
The club notes that this stream is for players who “love soccer but prefer fewer commitments,” with a focus on enjoyment, teamwork, and steady development.
Key elements include:
Same Price for Both Streams
To ensure true inclusivity, Performance and Community will be offered at the same price per age group.
This removes financial barriers and allows families to choose the environment that best fits their child’s needs, not their budget.

U5 will continue to operate as one united stream (community only) in both Hunter River and Cornwall.
However, it is important for families to understand:
This maintains the regional accessibility described in the club’s plan, which notes that U5 is “regionally run with no separating at U5,” while keeping the program age-appropriate and simple for families.
U7 will move into a two stream (community or performance) structure offered at either Hunter River or Cornwall.
However, it is important for families to understand:
This maintains the regional accessibility described in the club’s plan, which notes that U7 is “regionally run with no separating at U7,” while keeping the program age-appropriate and simple for families.
Beginning this season, all U9 players will participate in a one club regional structure, rather than being separated by community.
This shift aligns with the club’s updated structure, which states that U9 is “merged as one club and offering two streams across the whole region.”
