Jersey Number Allocation Policy
- Initial Assignment
- Players will select their jersey numbers based on availability at the beginning of the season.
- Conflict Resolution
- If two or more players request the same number, the more senior player (based on years in the team) will have the first choice.
- If players have equal seniority, the decision will be based on the following:
- Previous ownership of the number within the team.
- Performance record (e.g., leadership role, contributions to the team).
- A coach’s final decision if the above criteria don’t resolve the dispute.
- Limited Availability Considerations
- Jersey numbers and sizes may be limited due to inventory constraints, so players may need to adjust their preferences.
- If a requested number is unavailable in the player's preferred size, they must select from remaining options.
- The team official will oversee assignments to ensure fair distribution.
- Special Considerations
- Numbers with historical significance (e.g., retired or legendary numbers) may not be available for selection.
- If new players join mid-season, they will choose from remaining available numbers only.
